Your Role

We are looking for a passionate and proactive SEND Manager to make a real difference in the lives of our students. In this key role, you will lead and coordinate support for pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive school environment.

You will:

  • Coordinate SEN interventions and monitor student progress
  • Support and lead HLTAs and LSAs
  • Work with staff, parents and external agencies
  • Manage behaviour, attendance and engagement of SEN students
  • Contribute to SEN reviews and school-wide initiatives

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage behaviour and support learning
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent, GCSE English & Maths)

Qualifications

NVQ 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience.essential

Experience

Experience of Liaising with adults, i.e. parents/carers essential
Experience of managing pupil behaviour and supervising pupils under an agreed system of supervision and processes for integrated working.essential
Invigilating internal and external examinations, under supervision
Experience of working with external agencies
Selecting and preparing resources for use in classroom.
Working with children of relevant age in a learning environment
Experience of using CPOMS and SIMs
