Nether Stowe School is seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational Second in Mathematics to support the leadership and development of a thriving Maths department. Key Responsibilities
· Support the strategic direction and day-to-day leadership of the Maths department
· Drive high standards of teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5, if applicable)
· Lead on curriculum development, assessment, and intervention strategies
· Monitor and support student progress, ensuring all learners achieve their full potential
· Contribute to staff development through coaching and sharing best practice
· Inspire a love of mathematics across the school community
What you'll need to succeed
· Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a strong track record of student achievement
· Have the ability to motivate, challenge, and support both students and colleagues
· Demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to continuous improvement
· Be passionate about mathematics and dedicated to raising standards
· Have excellent organisational and communication skills
