Your Role

We are looking to appoint a Head of Year to join our supportive pastoral team. This is a key pastoral leadership role, responsible for ensuring strong academic progress, excellent behaviour, and positive engagement across the year group. To succeed in this role, you will be able to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best, setting consistently high expectations for what they can attain both academically and personally. You will take responsibility for driving standards, supporting student wellbeing, and fostering a culture of ambition, respect, and achievement across the year group.

North Chadderton School was recently graded Good in all areas by Ofsted. We know this is a great school and one which is fully committed to continuing to provide the very best experiences for all our pupils, with high academic standards and attainment and a strong personal development offer. We are committed to career-long staff development and if you join our team, you will be based in a diverse, friendly and supportive school with a state-of-the-art building, providing access to the latest resources to facilitate learning.

As well as offering you a competitive salary, we also provide free on-site parking, the cycle to work scheme and a range of wellbeing support, including access to employee counselling. Located at the east of Manchester, we are easily accessible through local and regional transport links.

Have you got the desire to join our Team? If so, we would be delighted to hear from you. Informal enquiries can be directed to recruitment@theoaktrust.org.uk or please phone The Oak Trust Recruitment Team on 0161 785 5960. Please apply via this portal, Vacancies - SAMpeople Recruit. Please note that due to safer recruitment requirements, we cannot accept CVs.
