Your Role

We have a vacancy for an experienced Wraparound Lead to join our team at Mowden Schools. 

We are looking for someone who is:

-       enthusiastic, imaginative, professional and reliable

-       a great team leader

-       motivated to provide a positive experience for our pupils, families and staff

The appointed applicant will:

-       create a stimulating environment for wraparound sessions

-       co-ordinate and prepare a range of engaging activities for our pupils aged 4 to 11

-       ensure a safe and welcoming setting

-       have relevant experience in childcare with appropriate qualifications

-       have experience leading a successful team

Qualifications

GCSE Grade 4+ (A* – C) in Mathematics and English or Level 2 Basic Skills (Numeracy and Literacy) or equivalent essential
GCSE Grade 4+ (A* – C) in Mathematics and English or Level 2 Basic Skills (Numeracy and Literacy) or equivalent
NVQ or equivalent qualification in childcare or Playwork
NVQ or equivalent qualification in childcare or Playwork
First Aid and current Food Hygiene certificates

Current Designated Safeguarding Lead certificate

Skills

Experience/Knowledge

Experience of working or volunteering with children of nursery and or primary age in a teaching and learning, childcare or leisure environmentessential
Experience of activity planning and deliveryessential
Experience of motivating of a team essential
Experience of managing staff and resources essential
Understanding of extended school roles and the responsibilities of Wraparound Assistantsessential
Ability and confidence to assist pupils with basic learning in line with the After School activity programmeessential
