Oakwood Primary Academy

Oakwood Primary Academy is a thriving primary school in Eastbourne, where 305 wonderful pupils (aged 2 – 11) bring life and energy into our setting. Oakwood is a welcoming, nurturing place to be and we’re proud to be a part of the local community - a community that means a great deal to our pupils, families and all the staff. Our spacious grounds host our modern foundation village (for our nursery and EYFS pupils), whilst our KS1 and KS2 classes are situated in our main school building. Since being rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in October 2022, we’ve been working hard to reach even greater heights for every child in our care. We want all students and staff to be positive and aspirational members of our school and to embody our vision of “Being Better Every Day”.

Our four school values of ‘Knowledge, Equality, Determination and Achievement’ underpin everything that we do. We promote and celebrate these throughout our broad and bespoke curriculum - that has been designed in conjunction with the Aurora Academies Trust - to support our pupils’ academic and personal growth. Oakwood is on an exciting path to drive high standards for teaching and learning, so that pupil outcomes reflect the dedication of our hard-working and supportive staff team.
