Lakes College is a technical vocational Further Education College delivering education and training to full-time and part-time learners and apprentices to degree level.
As one of the founder members of the National College for Nuclear, Lakes College with partners has invested £7.5 million building a new National College for Nuclear (northern hub) which will train the future workforce and develop world class skills in the UK’s thriving nuclear industry. The college is a partnership between Government and nuclear employers, led by EDF Energy and Sellafield Ltd, will be based at two hubs in Bridgewater, Somerset and West Cumbria, close to major sites of nuclear and civil infrastructure investment.
Not only do we have access to fantastic career opportunities, but we are located in one of the best National Parks in England. The college is well placed to access the beautiful countryside of the Lake District and the salty seascapes of Britain’s Energy Coast.
