De Lacy Primary School

At De Lacy Primary School, we strive to provide our pupils with a safe and caring school environment, which enables them to be the best they can be. Our school sits within a close community with Pontefract, and we are proud of the links and positive relationships we have with our parents. Headteacher, Mr James Parkinson, is a Silver Winner for Headteacher of the Year in a Primary School in the 2025 National Teaching Awards.

De Lacy was graded 'Outstanding' in all areas by Ofsted following an inspection in April 2024.

Following our Edurio Staff Survey, De Lacy was awarded with the Trust Benefit School Award in the 2025 Edurio Awards. This award recognises the school in each region whose community is most confident that being part of their Trust is beneficial, recognising excellence at school level.
