Halfpenny Lane Primary School is a two-form-entry school, which embodies the school mantra of 'Strive to be the very best version of yourself'. With a 93% combined outcome in reading, writing, and maths at Key Stage 2, we are ranked in the top 5% of primary schools nationally.
Halfpenny Lane was selected as a lead school for music by the West Yorkshire Music Hub - a recognition of the school's commitment to music.

In May 2025, Halfpenny Lane was praised by Ofsted as Outstanding in all areas. An exceptional outcome that is a true reflection of the hard work, dedication, and passion of our entire school community.
2025 Edurio Staff Survey
Halfpenny Lane Primary School received fantastic results in the 2025 Eduiro staff survey, with 88% of staff saying they would recommend the school as a good place to work. This surpasses the national benchmark of 73%.
98% of staff also shared that they would recommend Halfpenny Lane to parents as a good place for their children to study.
