Ravenscliffe High School

Ravenscliffe High School and Sports College is an innovative and ambitious specialist school for students aged 11–19, located in Halifax, West Yorkshire. As Calderdale’s only maintained secondary specialist school, we provide education and support for more than 250 young people with a wide range of additional needs, including moderate, severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties. Many of our students also have autism, speech and language challenges, physical and medical conditions, sensory impairments, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Our ethos is simple yet powerful: recognise and respond to individual needs, deliver a relevant and challenging curriculum, and work in close partnership with families and the wider community. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, happy, and stimulating environment built on positive relationships, good communication, and mutual support.
