About Cedars Academy

Cedars Academy is an all-through specialist academy in Gateshead, providing education and support for children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), from Early Years through to Post-16.

We operate across two sites: Cedars Academy Low Fell and Cedars Academy High Heworth. Together, we provide a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious learning environment where every child and young person is seen, heard and celebrated.

Our approach places relationships, communication, health and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. Through personalised learning, specialist provision and a strong focus on preparation for adulthood, we support our pupils to develop independence, achieve their potential and prepare for fulfilling lives beyond school.

Our dedicated, multidisciplinary team works collaboratively with pupils, families and external professionals to provide high-quality education, care and support.

We are committed to creating a positive, supportive workplace where staff are valued, encouraged to develop professionally and empowered to make a meaningful difference.
