Your Role

Co-op Academy Rathbone is our newest special educational needs academy. Situated around 3 miles from Liverpool city centre, Co-op Academy Rathbone caters for 70 children aged 5-11 with social, emotional and mental health needs and will be a beacon of best practice, providing exemplary care and education.


We are now seeking Learning Support Assistants who can demonstrate high expectations and ambition for themselves, our children, and their families; someone who will work alongside our excellent staff team to ensure that our amazing pupils get the best start, enabling them to thrive and make excellent educational and personal progress. There is no limit to our ambitions.


You may have experience of working in a SEND context, with children with complex needs. More importantly, we need people with a heart, patience and understanding, and a willingness to reflect and learn. The post will suit someone with energy and an endless drive to change the world for children with SEND.

Qualifications

NVQ2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualificationdesirable
5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalentdesirable
Good qualifications in both English and Mathsdesirable
Thorough understanding of child protection legislation and trained in child protection issuesdesirable
