Your Role

At Co-op Academy Grange, we are seeking a dynamic and committed Careers Adviser/CEIAG Coordinator to lead and deliver a high-quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme that raises aspirations and transforms life chances.

As part of Co-op Academies Trust, you will have the opportunity to innovate, inspire and strengthen our careers provision across the school, working closely with Academy staff and external partners to ensure every student is equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to take their next steps successfully.

Our aim is to ensure that all students are given every opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of background or circumstance. With this in mind, we are looking to appoint a professional who shares our vision for a careers programme that is ambitious, impartial, inclusive and supportive - one that broadens horizons, challenges perceptions and nurtures confidence.

As well as academic success, we are committed to ensuring every student leaves us prepared for their future. We strive for high achievement within a culture rooted in encouragement, aspiration and opportunity. Working collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and external partners, you will support students throughout their secondary journey, ensuring they are informed, ambitious and confident in making decisions about further education, training and employment pathways.

You will do all this whilst embodying the spirit of our vision and values, role-modelling exceptional professional behaviours and demonstrating a strong commitment to improving outcomes for young people.

Our aim is to ensure that our students are given every opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their background. With this in mind, we are looking to appoint a teacher who shares our vision for a learning environment and curriculum that is ambitious as well as supportive and nurturing.

As well as academic success, we focus on and take great pride in our students' behaviour. We aim for high achievement in an environment which is based on rewards, not sanctions. Working closely with our teaching body, our caring and experienced pastoral team are always on hand to help and support our students through their secondary school journey.

You’ll do all this whilst capturing the spirit of our vision and values and whilst role-modelling exceptional professional behaviours.

Why us?

Our vision at Co-op Academy Grange is that ‘We make ‘Grange Great’ by accelerating the development of our children towards their potential in everything we do.’ This vision drives all of the decisions that we make and all of the work that we do day in and day out for our community.

All our values are based upon the values of the Co-op Group, which will inform our behaviours.

Self-help: We do not expect to be spoon fed – we will try to do things for ourselves in the right way and at the right time.

Self-responsibility: Everyone should act in a responsible way around the academy site and in the local community. We take responsibility for our own learning; we want to become independent learners.

Equality: We are proud to be part of a very multicultural academy, with students from all over the world; it is important that we treat each other with respect and accept that others may be different from ourselves. We should all of us have equal chances to succeed.

Equity: We want to look for the best in each other. Rewarding others fairly to encourage all types of achievement.

Democracy: We will contribute our ideas to make the academy a success.

Solidarity: We can achieve more by working together, rather than as individuals.

Our Values

Being part of the Co-operative Group, we are both guided and driven by the Co-op values which are embedded in everything that we do within our Academy - We strive to demonstrate the following ethical values in everything we do - they are our ‘Ways of Being’:

Be yourself, always

Show you care
