We're looking for an Operations Manager to assist with the daily operations of Co-op Academy Medlock and Co-op Academy New Islington.
The School Operations Manager will, with support from the central team, oversee the daily operational functions across 2 primary school sites, including premises management, health and safety management, operational management and administrative support. The role supports the school leadership teams to ensure all systems and resources are in place for effective teaching and learning.
Why us?
At our academies we inspire our children to become confident, independent and engaged learners. Everything we do is to provide our children with the best start in life and encourage them to take pride in their achievements. Both Medlock and New Islington serve a vibrant and diverse community in the City Centre. They are places where differences are recognised and celebrated through the curriculum as well as through pastoral channels. Our children, families and staff are caring, respectful and responsible. We work in partnership with our families and community.
At Medlock and New Islington we are passionate about providing every child with the skills they need for lifelong learning. We believe that school life should give our children the ambition to be the best they can be. Learning is fun, purposeful and challenging!
You will have opportunities for continuous professional development and career progression, working in a creative and innovative environment where new ideas are encouraged and have the chance to make meaningful impact on the lives of children and help shape their educational journey.
All our values are based upon the values of the Co-op Group, which will inform our behaviours.
Self-help: We do not expect to be spoon fed – we will try to do things for ourselves in the right way and at the right time.
Self-responsibility: Everyone should act in a responsible way around the academy site and in the local community. We take responsibility for our own learning; we want to become independent learners.
Equality: We are proud to be part of a very multicultural academy, with students from all over the world; it is important that we treat each other with respect and accept that others may be different from ourselves. We should all of us have equal chances to succeed.
Equity: We want to look for the best in each other. Rewarding others fairly to encourage all types of achievement.
Democracy: We will contribute our ideas to make the academy a success.
Solidarity: We can achieve more by working together, rather than as individuals.
