Contract           Full-time

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Multi Academy Trust at a time of transformation and growth.

We are looking for a professional, organised and enthusiastic Apprentice Business Support Officer to provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to our Central Team. Working closely with the Business Support Officer, you will help support the Chief Executive Officer’s diary, meetings, correspondence and wider administrative requirements while developing your skills through a structured apprenticeship programme.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Support the Business Support Officer in managing the CEO's diary, appointments and meeting schedule.
  2. Assist with arranging internal and external meetings, including venue bookings, invitations, agendas, papers and logistics.
  3. Prepare meeting documentation, take notes or minutes when required and ensure follow-up actions are recorded and shared appropriately.
  4. Monitor shared inboxes, respond to routine enquiries and direct correspondence to the appropriate colleagues in a professional and timely manner.
  5. Assist with drafting routine correspondence, letters, communications, reports, spreadsheets and presentations using Microsoft Office applications.
  6. Support the coordination of Trust events, conferences, training activities, travel arrangements and accommodation bookings where required.
  7. Maintain accurate electronic filing systems, databases and records, ensuring information is stored appropriately and in line with Trust procedures.
  8. Provide administrative support to Central Team departments, including support for policies, procedures, documentation, procurement and ordering processes.
  9. Act as a professional first point of contact for enquiries to the Central Team, building positive relationships with schools, colleagues and external stakeholders.
  10. Successfully complete the Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard, participate fully in off-the-job training and apply learning to improve performance.

There are many good reasons to work with us. We have a real sense of community, striving to make a difference to children’s education. You will be part, too of the wider Archdiocese family and in the company of some of the best people in education. We also offer a variety of benefits, such as:

  1. Competitive salaries and pay progression
  2. Flexible working
  3. Access to extensive professional development opportunities
  4. Generous pension scheme
  5. Employee assistance programme
  6. Competitive terms and conditions of employment

The list is not exhaustive and will grow as the Trust matures.

This role is based at the Trust’s central office in the Port of Liverpool Building, but we offer flexibility to work remotely. The role also requires travel to the schools, when needed. We are keen to understand how this role could work for you and are open to consider flexible working options.

St Joseph Catholic MAT is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
