St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust is seeking an exceptional Trust Development Partner to play a pivotal role in driving educational excellence, leadership development and school improvement across our Trust.

This is a unique opportunity to provide strategic support, challenge and professional guidance to school leaders, helping to ensure that every child receives an exceptional Catholic education and achieves their full potential.

Working closely with the Director of Education, Headteachers, senior leaders, governors, the Archdiocese of Liverpool and Trust colleagues, you will help shape and deliver the Trust's educational strategy, strengthening leadership capacity, enhancing teaching and learning, and securing outstanding outcomes for pupils across all SJCMAT schools.

What You Will Lead

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for:

  1. School improvement across designated SJCMAT schools.
  2. Quality assurance activities, including school reviews, learning walks and leadership evaluations.
  3. Leadership development, succession planning and talent management.
  4. Curriculum development, implementation and evaluation.
  5. The promotion of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
  6. Improvement strategies for disadvantaged pupils, pupils with SEND and other vulnerable groups.
  7. School readiness for Ofsted, Catholic Schools Inspectorate and other external reviews.
  8. The strengthening of Catholic Life, Religious Education and the wider mission of the Trust.
  9. Cross-Trust collaboration, professional learning and the sharing of effective practice.
  10. The implementation of the Trust's Education Strategy and wider school improvement priorities.


We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  1. Has successful experience as a Headteacher, Executive Headteacher or senior school leader.
  2. Possesses a proven track record of securing sustained school improvement and raising educational standards.
  3. Has experience of leading significant organisational change and driving improvement.
  4. Can provide effective support and challenge to senior leaders and leadership teams.
  5. Has strong coaching, mentoring and leadership development skills.
  6. Demonstrates a deep understanding of curriculum design, teaching, learning and assessment.
  7. Understands inclusion, SEND and effective strategies for improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
  8. Has excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills.
  9. Can develop strong professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  10. Shares our commitment to service, integrity, excellence and continuous improvement.
