We have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and vision-driven leader to join our growing Trust as the Headteacher of Humberston Church of England Primary School in Humberston. We are looking for an experienced leader who will guide Humberston on its journey of continuous improvement, actively contributing to our collaborative family of schools while drawing on the strength and support of our Trust network.

The Successful Candidate:

  2. Is an experienced school leader with a proven track record of securing and sustaining school improvement and high educational standards.
  3. Advocates passionately for an inclusive, ambitious, and values-driven education that serves every pupil.
  4. Is fully committed to supporting and embedding the Christian vision, ethos, and values of both the school and the Trust.
  5. Understands that academic progress and attainment are essential parts of a broad, holistic education that sparks curiosity and prepares children for future success.
  6. Possesses outstanding interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, integrity, and respect for pupils, staff, parents, and the wider community.
  7. Can inspire, motivate, and empower staff, driving positive change through robust quality assurance and collaborative leadership.
  8. Holds an in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.

What We Offer:

  1. An inclusive, vibrant, and welcoming school environment with a dedicated, talented team of staff.
  2. Wonderful, motivated children who are eager to learn and proud of their school.
  3. A supportive community of staff, local governors, parents, and local church partners.
  4. A Multi-Academy Trust culture that values Headteacher professionalism and delegates appropriate autonomy to lead education and pastoral support.
  5. High-quality, bespoke support from a strong central team to assist with curriculum quality and school improvement.
  6. Personalised induction, ongoing performance development, and tailored professional growth opportunities.
  7. Strong collaborative relationships with peer leaders across our growing family of schools.
  8. Membership in the Teachers’ Pension Scheme and options for flexible working arrangements.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references, including your suitability to work with students.

Safeguarding Information

The St Lawrence Academies Trust is committed to providing a safe environment for children and young people to live and learn. To achieve this, it is important that there are processes in place to identify, deter, and reject unsuitable people from working with children and young people. Safer recruitment involves a range of checks that enable the Trust to make informed recruitment decisions on whether a potential employee is suitable to work in a post involving contact with children.

Recruitment decisions will be based on consideration of all aspects of the recruitment process, including pre-employment checks, taking account of any gaps in the context of the information that is available, and a full risk assessment if necessary.
