Your Role

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and skilled Estates Technician, committed to maintaining and improving the school environment for pupils, staff and visitors, to work alongside our Site Manager.


Hours: 3 Afternoons - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 2pm to 6pm, and 2 Full days Thursday, Fridays - 7.30am to 5pm.


Brooklands is a split site, primary phase (2-11 years) special school in Reigate. This position will be based at our Wray Park Road site but as part of the wider facilities team, the appointed candidate will need to be able to work at either site.


Our Estates Technician will play an important role in supporting the education of our special needs pupils and the ideal candidate will be resourceful, with a flexible and 'can-do' attitude. You will be part of the school team and able to relate well to pupils, staff and contractors alike. 


The appointed candidate will:

 be responsible to the Leadership Team for a high level of maintenance of the buildings and site, including maintenance and operation of the swimming and hydro pools (certain technical and administration duties included) full training will be provided.

 ensure the most cost effective use of the buildings and therefore contribute towards WMAT's objectives of achieving greater value for money.
