About Us

King Offa Primary Academy and Nursery is a two-form entry school and nursery for pupils aged 2-11 located in the heart of Bexhill-on-Sea. King Offa converted to Academy status in September 2012. It is a school rich in history, having first opened in 1907. Over 100 years on we continue to evolve, whilst keeping our core intention of nurturing kind, knowledgeable, and resilient children.

Our strong relationships with parents, carers, and wider family are very important to us. We know that educating children is our joint responsibility and we value the support of all our families.

We are proud of our educational outcomes and how well pupils learn here. We have a well considered curriculum and are committed to high standards throughout. However, we also make sure we offer pupils wider opportunities to develop their talents and interests, so they grow into thoughtful, open-minded individuals who make a positive contribution to the world around them.

At King Offa, we have four key values, which are: Knowledge, Opportunities, Pride, and Achievement. These underpin everything that we do, and belong to every single pupil, member of staff and the wider community.

"Reflecting on my 11 year teaching journey at King Offa Primary Academy, from a newly qualified teacher to where I stand today, fills me with immense pride and gratitude. I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside the school, witnessing its transformation and commitment to the next generation.  I’ve loved every moment of being part of this journey, surrounded by passionate colleagues and unique children. This school isn’t just where I work, it’s where I’ve grown as a teacher and found a true sense of belonging."
