Your Role

Melksham House School, part of Brunel Education, is a specialist provision that provides education for children and young people with complex social, emotional and/or mental health or medical needs which have prevented them from successfully engaging in or attending school. We are dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all our pupils, aged 4 to 18. Our focus is on children and young people who present with an Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) profile, and we understand that everyone is unique, with their own strengths, challenges, and needs.

We are now looking for a confident and approachable Exams & Admin Officer to be a vital part of our support team. We would prefer someone with experience of administering exams in an education setting, but if you have strong administration skills, full training will be given to the right candidate.

We’re looking for people who have:

·       Previous experience in a school or busy office environment

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·       Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and school management systems (desirable)

·       A calm, friendly, and professional manner – especially when under pressure

·       A high level of confidentiality and attention to details

·       A proactive and positive attitude to working in a school that supports young people with additional needs

·       Hold relevant qualifications (minimum Level 4 (A-C) qualifications in English and Maths) - you will be required to show your qualification certificates if appointed

If the above describes you, we would love to hear from you.

Experience:  Please see the attached Job Description for full details of the responsibilities and expectations of this role.

Training: It is important to us to ensure you feel valued and supported. Full training appropriate to the role will be provided.

Note: Applicants will be considered as received. Should a suitable candidate be identified, we may close the vacancy early.

Hours: 31 hours per week, term time only

Interviews: 01.07.2026
