West Walsall E-ACT are looking to expand their existing pool of Exam Invigilators to assist with examination supervision throughout the year.  If you are organised, vigilant and reliable – we are looking for you. Any required training will be provided to successful applicants.


Role Purpose:

As a Casual Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and fair administration of exams within our educational institution.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

·       Ensure a controlled and secure environment during exams, monitor students, and maintain exam integrity.

·       Strictly follow examination policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure fairness and integrity.

·       Hand out and collect exam papers and materials to/from students as required.

·       Address students' questions or concerns during the exam without compromising the exam's integrity.

·       Keep track of time and inform students when to start and finish their exams.

·       Report any irregularities, breaches of conduct, or issues to the designated authority.


Hours worked would be on a demand basis.

Qualifications

5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalentessential
Degree in subject relevant to the school curriculumessential

Skills

Experience/Knowledge

In-depth knowledge of the qualifications system and how these contribute to the points scores used in league tablesessential
Good understanding of current developments in secondary school curriculum and examination systemsessential

Personal Attributes

Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, parents and students essential

Relevant Experience

Experience of managing exams in a secondary school environmentessential
Experience of preparing documentation for external agencies and statutory returnsessential
Experience of working with examination boards, external agencies and other relevant stakeholders

Relevant Skills

Ability to produce reports in appropriate formats essential
