Job Title: Senior Facilities Officer

Location: E-ACT Barton Hill Academy and E-ACT Bannerman Road Academy.

We are excited to welcome a dedicated and passionate Senior Site Officer to join our site team and contribute to the success of our forward-thinking multi-academy trust.  

Our national teams play a crucial role to support our academies across England. You will be part of an exceptional support network that makes a difference to our children's educational experience – which is at the heart of everything we do. 


Key responsibilities: 

  • To support with the management, monitoring and risk assessment of the operation of all estates activities and services including compliance of external contractors to meet the requirements of the trusts health and safety policy.
  • Support with ensuring that all building related risk control measures including fire safety, legionella, asbestos, waste disposal, COSHH, statutory licences and electrical testing is managed and controlled effectively to meet current legislation.
  •  Actively promote a strong Health and Safety culture across the site teams and the wider academies.
  • Maintain a high level of security across academy premises including dealing with alarm systems and liaising with security services
  • Key holding duties for locking and unlocking of premises
  • To install, maintain or repair, jobs of a minor nature relative to the fabric, fixtures and fittings of the building equipment and furniture.

  

Pay range: NJC 18-22 £30,559.00 - £32,654.00

  

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Maths & English GCSE or equivalent or willing to work towards
  • Relevant maintenance/trade qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and how they apply in a school environment
  • Ability to carry out minor repairs
  • Willingness to drive the Academy minibus as and when required. A clean licence with category D1 is required or willing to work towards
