Your Role

At Callerton Academy, we are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support in delivering high-quality teaching and learning across the school.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed and supportive team, where you will make a real difference to pupils’ progress and achievement.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support learning across the classroom. You will take an active role in delivering engaging learning activities, supporting pupils of all abilities, and helping to create a positive and purposeful learning environment.

You will also have the opportunity to lead learning, including whole class sessions, under the guidance of a qualified teacher.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and committed to making a difference in the classroom.

You will:

  1. Have experience working with children in a learning environment
  2. Be a confident communicator with strong literacy and numeracy skills
  3. Have a good understanding of teaching and learning approaches
  4. Work effectively as part of a team and show initiative when needed
  5. Hold a relevant qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) and GCSE Maths and English
  6. Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
