It may also appeal to individuals with previous experience in nursing, healthcare, social care, or caring roles, who are looking to apply their skills in a school environment.

  • Provide high-quality support to pupils with sensory and/or physical needs, ensuring their safety, dignity and access to learning

  • Support the delivery of EHCPs, risk assessments, behaviour plans and NHS care plans

  • Undertake personal and intimate care, moving and handling, and support with medical and physical needs (full training provided)

  • Promote independence, inclusion and positive relationships

  • Work closely with teachers, the SEND team and external professionals including NHS services

  • Support pupils during lessons, social times, educational visits and transitions

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing processes

Experience of working in education, healthcare, nursing, residential care, or support work is highly valued. Full training will be provided where required, including moving and handling, safeguarding and healthcare interventions.
