Key Responsibilities: 


We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Mathematics Teacher to join our experienced, supportive, and forward-thinking team, working in the beautiful and historic surroundings of the Cathedral Close. Excellent results are achieved at both GCSE and A Level across the department. If you are passionate about teaching and shaping young minds, we encourage you to apply! 


The successful candidate will deliver dynamic and engaging mathematics lessons tailored to students aged 11-18. They will develop and prepare lesson materials aligned with the curriculum and individual learning needs while creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that nurtures student learning and well-being. Individualized support and guidance will be provided to empower students to achieve their academic aspirations. Assessing and monitoring student progress and offering constructive, actionable feedback are integral to the role. 


Collaboration with colleagues is essential to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and curriculum delivery. The candidate will also stay informed about the latest educational trends and contribute to the continuous improvement of the maths program. As a part of the thriving team, participation in the wider life of the school and its community is expected. 


 


Requirements: 


We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified, and creative teacher. Suitable candidates will have a strong academic background in mathematics or a related discipline and a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or equivalent experience. Demonstrated success in teaching mathematics to GCSE and preferably A-Level is essential, along with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. 


As a teacher, you will join a thriving team who teach across the age and ability range throughout the school. Your passion for your subject will be clear to the students, and you will have an innovative teaching style that inspires them. The ability to build, develop, and maintain strong and positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues alike is crucial.
