Pay/ Salary Range: N5 SCP 13-17 £28,163 - £30,060 per annum

Hourly Rate: £14.60 - £15.58

Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, All Year Round, Permanent


We’re looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Marketing and Communications Officer who will play a key role in creating and delivering engaging and inspiring content across a range of channels, whilst also supporting a busy Governance Team.

 

This post will suit:

  • New graduates looking for experience in content creation, social media and website management for a large business
  • Experienced Marketing and Communications Assistants looking to develop their skills further working for a large company with over 400 employees
  • Administration officers looking to diversify

 

This role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in campaign planning and delivery or further develop those skills. From developing, implementing and evaluating paid and organic social media campaigns to creating internal communications campaigns that staff will find engaging. We are looking for someone who has a passion for content creation, who is confident writing for different audiences with creativity; whether that be press releases, news stories for our websites, social media posts or website content.

 

You’ll need to be a highly organised, creative thinker with a keen attention to detail. One day, you could be organising a photo shoot in one of our schools; the next, you could be designing a post to promote an event or editing one of our six websites to ensure it is compliant, helping to organise an event, all while keeping an eye on all our social media.

 

The successful candidate will join a dedicated, innovative, and focused team of staff who are passionate about ensuring that everyone achieves their full potential. 


Prosper Learning Trust was formed in January 2018 and our academies are described below:

  • Newcastle Bridges School – Alternative Provision academy offering education to pupils unable to access mainstream school due to medical needs including hospitalised children and young people (3-19 years)
  • Mary Astell Academy – Alternative Provision academy offering education to permanently excluded pupils and pupils who are struggling in mainstream school (11-16 years)
  • Thomas Bewick Special School – Special School academy for pupils with a diagnosis of autism (3-19 years)
  • Harry Watts Academy – Special School academy for pupils with a diagnosis of autism (5-16 years)
  • Gilbert Ward Academy – Special School academy for pupils with SEMH (11-16 years) 


Prosper Learning Trust was also recently named as the lead partner in the opening of a new Free School in Jarrow, South Tyneside. This school will be a Special School academy for pupils with SEMH (4-11 years).

Qualifications

Degree in Marketing/Communication or relevant experienceessential
