Welcome to Kennall Vale School – a small village Primary school serving Ponsanooth near Truro. We are on the A393 Redruth – Falmouth road, close to the Kennall Vale Nature reserve, a picturesque river valley containing the remains of Kennall Vale Gunpowder Works. Kennall Vale School opened in new, purpose built premises in 1993 and, since then, has been extended and completely refurbished. The school has 5 classrooms, and at present 120 pupils on roll organised into mixed-age classes.

Kennall Vale School, are seeking to appoint a dynamic and committed Teaching Assistant to work as part of our team. The real strength of the school lies in the people; staff, children, parents and Local Monitoring Committee members are proud of our school and work hard to provide a caring and stimulating environment for learning. About You:
We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join the team at Kennall Vale School to support a key stage two class. The role is a fixed-term contract to August 2027; it is 25 hours a week, 8:30am-12:30pm Monday – Friday as well as two afternoons until 3:15pm (which two days is to be confirmed).
We are seeking to appoint a person who is enthusiastic, hardworking and committed to the ethos of Kennall Vale School. Experience of working within Primary education is essential and recent knowledge and skills in areas of SEND such as Speech and Language and Cognition and Learning is desirable.
Developing a positive and nurturing relationship with all children is key, so the successful candidate will be warm, child-centred and know how to get the best out of the young people they are working with.
