Your Role

The Dean Trust is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Cleaning Operative to join our dedicated team at Dean Trust Wigan.


The Cleaning Operative is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment throughout the high school.


Key responsibilities:

  • To clean the school site as directed, in full compliance with all current health & safety requirements.
  • Empty waste bins or similar receptacles routinely, and safely transport waste material to designated collection points.
  • Clean floors when directed, including sweeping to control dust and debris and mopping to sanitise using hot water, with suitable cleaning products.
  • Safely use electronically powered scrubbing, polishing and vacuuming machines to scrub, polish, spray and clean floors.
  • Dust, damp wipe, wash or polish the furniture, ledges, window sills and external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves and fitments.
