Teaching Assistant – Level 3 - starting September 2026

Come and join our caring, pupil focused school. We are a small, dedicated team who seek to provide a strong education for our children while supporting each individual child’s needs.

We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic individual, with prior experience in a school setting, to join our team as a teaching assistant, initially supporting our Reception / Year 1 Class. This position will involve supporting students in the classroom with a view to enabling them to effectively access the curriculum. Applicants should have good communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with students and adults.

 

This is a varied and exciting position, allowing you to work with groups of children and individuals, with the support of class teachers and SENDCo within the class setting.

 

Grade:           Grade 6 SCP 7, £26,403 per annum pro rata (£13.26/hr)

Hours:           28.5 hours per week, term time only

Mon: 8:30 – 4:30 (1 hr lunch), Tues: 8:00 – 3:00 (1 hr lunch),

Wed: 8:30 – 3:00 (1 hr lunch), Thu: 8:00 – 3:00 (1 hr lunch), Fri: 12:00 – 3:30

Contract:       Fixed term 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027 in the first instance
