Would you like to join our happy and caring school where teaching and therapies combine to support the development of each child? We are looking for enthusiastic, inspirational, and creative teaching assistants to join our team. 

Bishopswood is a special school in South Oxfordshire (Berkshire border) that provides specialist education for children aged 2—16 years with severe (SLD) or profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs, including those children with ASD. Holding an inclusive ethos, Bishopswood endeavours to provide specialist provision alongside its co-located mainstream partners across two sites.

We would like to hear from you if

  • You have good numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills (GCSE Level 4 or equivalent in English and Math’s is desirable)
  • You have the ability to work with a range of children and young people with additional and complex needs
  • You are a team player who can build good working relationships with colleagues

Bishopswood is a special school in South Oxfordshire that provides specialist education for 75 children aged 4—16 years with severe (SLD) or profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs, including those children with ASD. We are a school that prides itself in providing innovative learning techniques to meet the wide-ranging needs of our pupils.

With an inclusive ethos Bishopswood endeavours to provide specialist provision alongside its co-located mainstream partners on tow sites; our main primary department which is co-located with Sonning Common primary school and Bishopswood’s secondary provision at Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge School, Sonning Common.
