Kingfisher School is seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Administrative Officer to lead our busy school office. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative operations and supporting the School Business Manager in delivering excellent service to staff, pupils, and parents.

You will manage and develop the administrative team, oversee office systems, and ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and school policies. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.

About the Role

  • Lead and manage the school office team, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for visitors and parents.
  • Oversee administrative processes including admissions, attendance monitoring, and EHCP support.
  • Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required.
  • Support the School Business Manager with HR, compliance, and procurement tasks.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and maintain the Single Central Record.
  • Contribute to school communications including newsletters and social media updates.

About you

  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent) and GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above).
  • Experience in a senior administrative role (school experience desirable but not essential).
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office and school MIS systems (e.g., Arbor, CPOMS).
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead a team and work under pressure while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and data protection requirements.
