About the Role

Working pattern:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 08:45 – 15:00
  • Tuesday: 08:45 – 16:00
  • Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

In this role, you will:

  • Support pupils with SLD, PMLD and ASD in class and across the school
  • Assist with learning activities, therapy programmes and individual targets (IEPs)
  • Take part in enrichment activities, including swimming, PE, community visits and horse riding
  • Provide personal and intimate care where required
  • Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and independence
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families and multidisciplinary teams


About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Calm, patient and resilient, with a positive attitude
  • A team player who is motivated to learn and develop
  • Experienced in working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, etc.)
  • Ideally familiar with supporting pupils with EHCPs or additional needs

Qualifications:

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or equivalent) – desirable

Qualifications

Willingness to complete training in moving and handling, intimate care, medical needs, communication systems and first aidessential
GCSEs in Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalentdesirable
First Aid qualification desirable
Safeguarding qualificationdesirable
Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification.desirable
