Learning Mentor (Behaviour & Pastoral)

Salary – Grade F (Points 20 – 25) £32,597- £36,363 Pro rata

Actual salary £28,848-£32,181




This is an exciting opportunity within our Children and Family Support Team, to join an expanding team of Learning Mentors led by our Deputy Headteacher (Behaviour & Pastoral) who will:


  • liaise closely with teaching and support staff in identifying children needing guidance  and support to enable them to overcome barriers to learning
  • provide a supportive mentoring relationship with children needing targeted support
  • promote school attendance, working closely with families and providing targeted support   that removes barriers to learning
  • work closely with the school in drawing up and implementing individual action plans
  • establish and maintain clear, relevant and up to date records
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding procedures

 

The successful candidate will need to have:

 

  • Appropriate Level 4 or above qualification
  • Previous relevant experience in a Learning Mentor role is desirable
  • Knowledge of Child Development/Safeguarding/GDPR young people and their families.
  • Experience of working with a range of external agencies
