The Directors are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and dynamic Assistant Principal.


This will be a permanent role. The appointed person will be part of the Leadership and Management Team within Valley College. The post is based at our provision in Blackpool, however you will need to Travel to our site in Rossendale as required. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.


The successful candidate will be responsible for:


• Communicating the college’s vision compellingly and supporting the Principal’s strategic leadership


• The day-to-day management of the college


• Formulating the aims and objectives of the college


• Establishing policies for achieving these aims and objectives


• Managing staff and resources to that end


• Monitoring progress towards meeting the college’s aims and objectives


The Assistant Principal will also have a timetabled teaching commitment, ensuring compliance with the Teachers’ Standards and modelling best practice for others.


They may also be required to undertake any of the duties delegated by the Principal/Vice Principal.
