Your Role

Do you believe in inclusive education and in every child’s right to flourish, learn, and feel a genuine sense of belonging?

St Paul's CE Primary School is part of Vantage CE Academies Trust and is one of 10 schools across Manchester, Trafford, Salford, Bolton and Knowsley.

We are excited to welcome a dedicated and compassionate EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 3) who is committed to making a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of young children at St Paul's CE Primary School.

We are looking for someone who is adaptable, consistent, and patient, with a strong understanding of how to support pupils with a wide range of needs. These may include communication and language differences, cognitive and learning difficulties, personal care requirements, and medical needs. A key part of this role will involve supporting children with complex needs during lunchtime, promoting independence and nurturing positive social interaction.

Some of the pupils you will support may present with:

  • Medical needs
  • Cognitive and learning difficulties
  • Speech and language needs
  • Mobility challenges
  • Personal care needs
  • ASD, ADHD and/or global developmental delay

EYFS Teaching Assistant roles are unique and require a nurturing, positive, and flexible approach. As a team, we work collaboratively, continually learning and adapting to ensure every child receives the highest‑quality experience throughout their time in school.

Please consider the following essential criteria:

  • Do you hold a Level 3 childcare qualification in EYFS?
  • Are you patient, understanding, and child‑centred in your practice?
  • Do you work effectively as part of a team?
  • Are you committed to developing your skills and deepening your understanding of SEND?
  • Would you value being part of a supportive, forward‑thinking team where children are at the heart of every decision?
  • Do you prioritise mental health and wellbeing for all?
  • Do you uphold the principles of inclusion?

If your answer to the above is yes, we would be delighted to hear from you!

What we can offer you:

  • An inclusive and diverse school community
  • Friendly, motivated, and highly skilled staff
  • Opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the Trust
  • A strong commitment to your professional development
  • An innovative and forward‑thinking Leadership Team
  • A clear focus on staff wellbeing

This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the educational journey of all of our children at St Paul's CE Primary School.

Hours of work: 32.5 Monday - Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm, 30 minute unpaid lunchbreak)— Term Time Only plus 5 INSET Days.

Appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and the receipt of suitable references. References will be requested prior to interview.
