Your Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to take on the dual role of HLTA and Assistant SENDCo. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate, yet knowledgeable professional to support pupils with Special Educational Needs. The role will support the effective coordination and delivery of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision across our school. Working closely with the SENDCo, this role is central to ensuring that all pupils with SEND receive high-quality, inclusive support that enables them to thrive both academically and emotionally. The role involves working closely with parents, staff, and external professionals to ensure SEND provision is of the highest standard. Qualifications

GCSE Maths and English grade 4-9 (A-C) or equivalentessential
Meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualifications or experience

Skills

Experience/Knowledge

Understanding of principles of child development, learning styles and independent learningessential
Working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice/legislationessential
Understanding of inclusion, especially within a school setting essential
Understanding of statutory framework relating to teaching and learningessential
To have experience and evidence of working with children with emotional and or behavioural issuesessential
