Your Role

We have vacancies for experienced Wraparound Assistants to join our team at Mowden Schools.


We are looking for people who are:

-       enthusiastic, imaginative, professional and reliable

-       a good team member

-       motivated to provide a positive experience for our pupils, families and staff

 

The successful applicants will:

-       create a stimulating environment for wraparound sessions

-       prepare a range of engaging activities for our pupils aged 4 to 11

-       provide a safe and welcoming setting

-       have relevant experience in childcare with appropriate qualifications

Qualifications

Good standard of general education essential
Good standard of general education
NVQ or equivalent qualification in childcare or Playwork
NVQ or equivalent qualification in childcare or Playwork
First Aid and current Food Hygiene certificates

Skills

Experience/Knowledge

Experience of working or volunteering with children of nursery and or primary age in a teaching and learning, childcare or leisure environmentessential
Understanding of extended school roles and the responsibilities of Wraparound Assistantsessential
Ability and confidence to assist pupils with basic learning in line with the After School activity programmeessential
Qualified / Trained First Aider
Experience of activity planning and delivery
Understanding the principles of child development and learning processes
Experience of working with a wide range of children including those with specific statements

Ability and commitment to understand and comply with school and Trust policies and procedureessential
High level of personal effectiveness including good organisational, planning and prioritisation skills and ability to meet deadlines essential
