The Governors of Maple Court Academy are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated Early Years Class Teacher to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner to play a key role in delivering high-quality provision within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with the flexibility to contribute to teaching in Key Stage 1 where required.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public, including staff and students in accurate spoken English is essential for the post, therefore postholders must be able to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence through the medium of English.

Maple Court Academy is an inclusive Primary school in the Bentilee area of Stoke-on-Trent. It has bespoke facilities that support our exciting curriculum. CPD / Training

Paediatric first aid trained or willingness to undertakeessential

Experience

Have strong curriculum knowledge in EYFS or Key Stage Oneessential

Has effective teaching and learning styles essential
Is aware of the positive links necessary within the Academy and with all its stakeholders essential
Is aware of the statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEN and Child Protection essential
Has experience of monitoring, assessment, recording and reporting of students’ progress essential
Have theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children (e.g. classroom organisation and learning strategies) essential
Have experience teaching the Primary curriculum essential
Be an outstanding teacher and be able to model good practice for others essential
