Holden Lane Academy are looking to appoint a dynamic, passionate, and driven Key Stage 2 Class Teacher to join the committed and hard-working teaching team at Holden Lane Academy. The successful candidate will have the strongest commitment and passion to continue to drive the success of the Academy forward and will be a very motivated team player in a highly effective staffing team.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public, including staff and students in accurate spoken English is essential for the post, therefore postholders must be able to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence through the medium of English.

Why Holden Lane?

Holden Lane Academy is a small inclusive Primary academy in the Sneyd Green area of Stoke-on-Trent. It has bespoke facilities that support our exciting curriculum. We have extensive and stimulating outdoor play and learning areas.

 

The academy also has recently benefited from a significant investment in digital infrastructure. At Holden Lane Academy, our aim is to provide high quality experiences in all aspects of academy life.

Experience/Knowledge

Be an outstanding teacher and be able to model good practice for others essential
Have teaching experience or practice in Key Stage One essential
Have experience teaching the Primary curriculum essential
Have theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children (e.g. classroom organisation and learning strategies) essential
Have knowledge of Statutory National Curriculum requirements at the appropriate key stage essential
Has experience of monitoring, assessment, recording and reporting of students’ progress essential
Is aware of the statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEN and Child Protection essential
Is aware of the positive links necessary within the Academy and with all its stakeholders essential
Has effective teaching and learning styles essential
