Your Role

At DMAT & Oak Tree Primary, we believe in putting people first.

All children are entitled to an excellent education, and staff are our most important asset.

Guided by our strong moral purpose, we serve our communities with integrity and collaboration is at the heart of everything we do.

We are proud to have joined Durrington Multi Academy Trust in January 2025 and are enjoying being part of a successful team.

Oak Tree is a welcoming, happy school, where every member of the team plays a vital role in creating an environment where children can thrive.

We value kindness, respect, and a shared commitment to doing what’s best for our pupils, their families, and each other.

Oak Tree Primary is looking for a Teaching Assistant to become a valued member of our team.

You’ll work closely with teachers to bring learning to life — supporting individuals and small groups, encouraging independence, and helping every child to reach their full potential.

You’ll play a hands-on role in the classroom, contribute to the wider life of the school, and be part of a warm, caring environment where children love to learn.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about supporting every child to reach their full potential.
  • Shares our values, brings warmth, energy, and commitment.
  • Takes pride in helping children learn and grow.

In return, you’ll be part of a supportive and welcoming community that recognises and values the important contribution you make.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and join a school that values and invests in its people, we’d love to hear from you.

Safeguarding Information

Safeguarding – Our Commitment

Keeping children safe is at the heart of everything we do. As part of our recruitment process, we take steps to make sure everyone who joins us shares this commitment.

What this means for you:

  • All roles in our schools involve a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
  • If you’re successful, you’ll need to complete some pre-employment checks, such as an enhanced DBS check and verifying your right to work in the UK. We’ll explain these clearly and guide you through the process.
  • During the interview, we may ask questions about your understanding of safeguarding. This isn’t a test—it’s about making sure we all share the same values and priorities.

Why do we do this?

Because every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and able to thrive. These checks and conversations help us create a secure and welcoming environment for everyone.

If you have any questions about safeguarding or the checks we carry out, please let us know—we’re happy to help.
