Your Role

We are seeking a motivated, committed and enthusiastic Apprentice Receptionist to join our team at Hogarth Academy. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career who is keen to learn, develop new skills and make a positive difference within a busy and supportive school environment. The successful candidate will undertake a relevant apprenticeship programme, delivered in partnership with Nottingham College as our approved training provider.


The qualification - You will study Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship

Requirements in College - Attendance at City Hub campus once monthly on a Monday

Duration of the apprenticeship - 21 month duration including end point assessments


As the first point of contact for the academy, you will play a key front-of-house role, providing a welcoming, professional and friendly reception service to parents, carers, pupils, staff and visitors. You will handle enquiries both face-to-face and over the telephone, ensuring all visitors are greeted courteously and directed appropriately, maintaining high standards of customer care at all times.


The role will also involve a range of administrative duties, including maintaining accurate and confidential records, supporting pupil admissions, handling post and deliveries, updating reception displays, and completing routine clerical tasks such as filing, emailing, photocopying and data entry. You will be expected to use your initiative, work proactively and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and in line with academy policies, including safeguarding, GDPR and health and safety requirements.


We are looking for someone who is creative, adaptable and able to build positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders including staff, parents, carers and external agencies. A willingness to learn, strong communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude are essential.

Qualifications

5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalentdesirable
