Your Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an existing or aspiring leader to fulfil the post of Deputy Headteacher at Castle School.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, ambitious and inspirational colleague to join our successful leadership team at Castle School.

This post is integral to our school and plays an important role in enhancing the opportunities for young people. This post would suit an experienced middle or senior leader who is passionate about maximising the potential of pupils and who has experience working with children with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs.

As a Deputy Headteacher you will need to share our commitment and vision and play an integral part of the school’s strategic development. Our collection of schools is not only changing but also growing. As a result, this could lead to further progression opportunities within our schools over time as well as extensive CPD opportunities.

The successful candidate will be able to engage and enthuse all members of the school community and work cooperatively within a diverse team of professionals from across the education and wider care landscape. Our mantra “we never give up” underpins our approach to working with pupils and guides and underpins our values. This is a fundamental part of Castle School vision so it is important that the successful candidate can fully embrace and embody this philosophy.

We understand that our staff team are at the heart of our success. We have developed a strong culture of collaboration and cooperation with a high regard for personal and professional development. If you feel that you have the ability and drive to enable our students to reach their full potential, joining our school also offers many personal benefits including:
