Your Role

We are seeking an individual who is positive and enthusiastic and wants to support our mission of transforming children's lives through a world-class education.

The Trust Education Welfare Officer works in partnership with academies to support children and their families, putting the child first when school attendance is a concern. You will work alongside relevant academy staff members to contribute to raising achievement by improving student attendance. You will be responsible for raising pupil attendance levels across the Trust, contributing to improved outcomes for persistent and severely absent pupils. You will work with identified families, building relationships and providing specialist attendance support

This position reports to the Head of Safeguarding, Attendance, Behaviour and Culture and is part of the Trust Central Team and requires travel to the schools within our Trust. We are keen to understand how this role could work for you and we are open to consider flexible working options.

Who are we looking for?

  • Are you passionate about improving attendance and punctuality in schools?
  • Do you have ambition to reach every child?
  • Are you an experienced Attendance / Education Welfare Officer who’s ready for the next challenge?
  • Do you want to develop creative strategies to ensure students attend school?
  • Do you have great communication and organisational skills?
  • Can you roll up your sleeves but also have a strategic overview?

We are a Catholic Multi-Academy Trust. You do not need to be a practicing Catholic but must share our ethos and values.

Benefits of working with our Trust

There are many good reasons to work with us. We have a real sense of community and you will be a part of it. You will be part, too of the wider Archdiocese family and in the company of some of the best people in education. We also offer a variety of benefits, such as:

  • Competitive salaries and pay progression
  • Access to extensive professional development opportunities
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme and Home and Electronics scheme
  • Employee assistance programme
  • Competitive terms and conditions of employment

The list is not exhaustive and will grow as the Trust matures.
