Your Role

KS3 Intervention Specialist Teacher

(Full-time and/or Part-time)

£32916.00 - £51048.00  per annum for full-time, term time only. Pay scale M1-UPS3

Are you passionate about closing the gaps from KS2 to KS3 for students? Do you have the highest expectations of every member of the school community? Are you a values-driven teacher who models integrity and a commitment to inclusion? Can you inspire and influence young people’s lives and promote the value of education?

If you have answered yes to these questions then we want to hear from you!

Hodgson Academy is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Intervention Specialist to join our thriving team. You will be a professional who sets high expectations, fosters a safe and stimulating learning environment, and is committed to the personal and academic growth of every student. This position is temporary for 12 months in the first instance.

Our intervention provision is a creative and forward‑thinking environment where support goes beyond short‑term catchup to develop confident, resilient learners with the skills and strategies they need to succeed. You won’t simply be delivering targeted support in isolation - you’ll be part of a team providing a rich, responsive provision designed to spark confidence, engagement, and a love of learning.

By joining us, you will play a key role in our academy’s commitment to raising standards of attainment and ensuring students from all backgrounds are supported to achieve their full potential. We are proud of our supportive, close‑knit team culture, where collaboration is central, every voice is valued in planning discussions, and every success - no matter how small - is recognised and celebrated.

A day in your new role could see you:

  • Delivering targeted, high‑impact interventions to support students in overcoming barriers to learning
  • Planning and implementing personalised support sessions, using assessment and progress data to inform next steps
  • Using stretch, challenge, and scaffolded strategies to build confidence, resilience, and independent learning skills
  • Designing and contributing to intervention and enrichment activities that support literacy, numeracy, and wider learning skills
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to align interventions with classroom learning
  • Modelling the positive attitudes, values, and behaviours expected of students, inspiring them to believe in their potential

If this resonates with you, apply today and help us make a meaningful difference by supporting students to overcome barriers, build confidence, and shape the next chapter of their learning journey.
