Your Role

Make a difference, learn new skills and build a rewarding career supporting young people in Exmouth.

Are you an experienced Residential Care Worker ready for a new challenge? Perhaps you have experience in education or another support role or you are looking to start your career in social care and would love the opportunity to learn British Sign Language (BSL).

We’re looking for Bank Residential Care Workers to join our inspiring team, supporting young people aged 9–25 to develop their independence and achieve their potential. You’ll be based either in our new adult residential centre or in our on-site residential flats at the Academy, both just a couple of minutes’ walk from Exmouth beach.

If you’re passionate about making a difference to young people’s lives and want a role that’s varied, active and rewarding, we’d love to hear from you.

A role where every day is different:

You’ll be getting out and about, planning and organising social activities locally and further afield.

Every day as a Residential Care Worker is different. You’ll support our young people who live in our Academy Residential Home to develop their independent living skills, as well as organising social activities, for example activities in the local community, trips to the beach, cinema or bowling, and trips further afield.

The hourly rate for this role starts from £15.68ph, including holiday pay and increases with completion of L3 NVQ H&SC and L1, 2 and 3 BSL qualifications.

Your shift pattern:

Our students spend their day in our School or College, with some also doing work placements or qualifications elsewhere, after which they return to our residential care flats. The shift pattern for this role is therefore outside of ‘school hours’.
