About Us

Brent Knoll Primary School has been part of the village community since 1861, combining a rich history with modern facilities, including much of the current building which dates from 2004, creating a vibrant and welcoming learning environment rooted in strong community values.

The school benefits from a highly experienced and dedicated staff team, many of whom have been part of both the school and village community for many years. This continuity helps to foster a close-knit and supportive atmosphere where children and adults know one another well and work together to help every child thrive. Since becoming part of the Wessex Learning Trust in 2019, the school has further strengthened opportunities for pupils through collaboration with local schools, including transition pathways to Hugh Sexey Middle School, while continuing to maintain its unique identity and community focus.

Brent Knoll Primary School is committed to achieving excellent outcomes for its children, both academically and pastorally. Its positive Ofsted and SIAMS inspections reflect the dedication of staff and the caring ethos that underpins school life, while also demonstrating a culture of continual improvement and ambition. Alongside its nurturing environment, the school offers a wide range of opportunities often associated with much larger schools, enabling children to truly “let their light shine” within a supportive and inspiring setting.
