Teacher of Music (Qualified or Unqualified)
Permanent
The Gatwick School is looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Music on a permanent basis.
This is a great opportunity for a trainee Teacher of Music to train and gain QTS while working on a full-time or part-time basis, or for a qualified Teacher of Music, including ECTs, to teach pupils aged 4-16 within our all-through school.
Why join The Gatwick School?
This is an incredibly exciting time to join The Gatwick School. Staff turnover is significantly below the national average, and our most recent staff survey (summer 2025) highlights a highly positive and supportive working environment:
- 100% of staff feel the behaviour policy is aligned with their values, consistently enforced by leaders, and that leaders listen and respond to concerns about behaviour
- 100% of staff feel they can have input into decisions that relate to their role
- 97% of staff believe the school is well led and managed
- 100% of staff are satisfied with the level of responsibility they have
- 92% of staff feel leaders are considerate of their wellbeing
- 100% of staff feel CPD is used to encourage, challenge and support improvement
- 100% of staff feel that colleagues from all cultures and backgrounds are valued
Outcomes from Reception to Year 11 are in line with or above national averages (summer 2024–25). Pupil attendance is above the national average, and suspensions and exclusions are significantly lower than national figures.
We are proud to have a Good Ofsted rating (May 2024) and to be recognised as a Top 50 most improved school in the country (summer 2024). We are also developing an international school partnership, with annual staff trips to America as this becomes established.
