Your Role

The Role

Are you a teacher with a passion for inclusion?

At Highfield Community Primary, we believe in translating the world for our students. We are seeking a dedicated and resilient KS2 SEN Teacher to join our specialist unit. This is a role for a practitioner who finds genuine joy in "inch-stones"—the small, vital victories that represent massive progress for children with complex needs.

You will lead a vibrant KS2 classroom within our SEN unit, providing high-quality, specialised education for pupils with social, communication, and interaction needs.

About You (Person Specification)

We are looking for a reflective practitioner who balances high expectations with deep empathy.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualifications: Degree in a relevant subject and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience: Proven experience working with pupils with SEND and emotional/behavioral difficulties.
  • Knowledge: Sound understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the graduated approach.
  • Traits: Exceptional resilience, emotional intelligence, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Why Highfield Community Primary?

As part of the Aspirational Futures Multi-Academy Trust, we offer a supportive environment where your professional development is prioritised. You will be part of a team committed to self-evaluation, school improvement, and, most importantly, the success of children with additional needs.
