We are looking for an excellent English teacher who is passionate about their subject, and is keen to develop their practice in a dynamic and innovative teaching environment. School 21 is an all-through school and your role will teach English from 11-18. Ideally, you will be an experienced English teacher and it is essential that you have a passion for developing the best pedagogy for that age range.

We believe English is an inherently creative subject that requires authentic dialogue between students and texts, students and teachers, and students with each other. It should empower students to confi dently, and accurately, express themselves in both their written and verbal expression. We are looking for a teacher with strong subject knowledge, who has a genuine passion for the subject and is able to foster excellent knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of English in the students that they teach. Furthermore, we wish to appoint someone who will fully embrace the vision of the department, working closely with the team to further develop an innovative and effective curriculum and ensure excellent outcomes for our students.

The successful candidate will be:

• An excellent teacher and subject specialist

• Experience of teaching KS3 to KS5, a focus on A-Level is desirable

• Experience of having a successful impact on student progress

• Experience in curriculum development

• A collaborative planner, and able to work effectively as part of a team

Safeguarding Information
