The primary purpose of this role is to safeguard and promote the welfare of children by building strong, collaborative relationships with families and removing barriers to learning. You will act as a dedicated point of contact for parents, providing early intervention and practical support to improve student attendance, behaviour, and emotional well-being. Additionally, you will, when needed, provide high-quality PPA cover, and in-class support and intervention to pupils, ensuring continuity of the curriculum and maintaining a stable, supportive environment for students when the class teacher is away.

To provide comprehensive pastoral, wellbeing and positive behaviour management support for pupils and staff at Co-op Academy Rathbone under the supervision and guidance of a member of the Senior Leadership Team, which will include operational support with pupils and classes throughout the day as well as taking a lead role in developing strong family, community and work-related learning links.
