Your Role

About the Role

Are you an organised, proactive administrative professional looking to make a genuine impact on the future of education?

At Co-op Academies Trust, our Professional Development Institute (PDI) sits at the heart of how we support, develop, and inspire teachers and leaders across our network of academies. We are looking for an Operations, Marketing & Programme Support Officer to join our dedicated PDI team based at our central hub in 1 Angel Square.

In this varied and fast-paced role, you will be the backbone of our Initial Teacher Training (ITT), Early Career Framework (ECF), and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes. From acting as the warm, welcoming first point of contact for enquiries to managing candidate records, drafting vibrant newsletters, and supporting high-profile events, you’ll ensure our operational, digital, and marketing activities run seamlessly every single day.

Whether you're helping onboard new trainees, keeping our course pages up to date, or keeping track of event budgets, your work will directly help our educators thrive.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a collaborative, digitally confident team player who thrives on organisation and detail. You don't necessarily need to have worked in education before—what matters most is your administrative skill, your initiative, and your alignment with our cooperative values.

Key Requirements:

  1. Education & Basics: GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
  2. Administrative Experience: Proven experience in programme, education, training, events, or multi-stakeholder administration, with a track record of balancing multiple deadlines.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication—able to draft professional stakeholder copy, clear event briefs, and engaging campaign materials.
  4. Digital Confidence: Comfortable using Google Workspace, spreadsheets, digital forms, and shared drive management, with the ability to maintain accurate data and produce clear reports.
  5. Values & Standards: Absolute commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, data protection (GDPR), and cooperative values.

Desirable experience includes working within a school, MAT, ITT/ECF, or higher education setting; handling financial processes (invoices/purchase orders); or working with CRMs, digital event platforms, and mailing lists.

What We Offer

At Co-op Academies Trust, we believe our people are our greatest asset. When you join us, you’ll benefit from:

  1. Competitive Salary: SCP 12–19. (£29,542 - £33,121)
  2. Inspiring Location: Work from our flagship central headquarters at 1 Angel Square, Manchester.
  3. Professional Growth: Opportunities for continuous training, including support if you wish to complete an appropriate apprenticeship or professional qualification.
  4. Co-operative Culture: A supportive, inclusive working environment built on strong co-operative values, fairness, and shared success.
  5. Generous Pension Scheme & Benefits Package.
